Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Tasks

Collaboration in research at the Collaborative Research Center SFB/TRR 195 "Symbolic Tools in Mathematics and their Application" in the field of tropical combinatorics (project B4). This topic lies at the boundary between algebraic geometry, discrete mathematics and optimization. Algorithmic aspects and the use of mathematical software are of particular importance.

Requirements

In addition to a successfully completed sclentific university degree (Master's, Diplom or equivalent), a successfully completed doctorate in mathematics or a closely related field of study is required. Profound knowledge in the field of algebraic or geometric combinatorics is expected, especially with references to tropical geometry.
Good knowledge of German and/or English is required, the willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.

Desirable:
The ability to work in a team and programmlng experience are an advantage.
