Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Tasks

  • Research in Computational Neuroscience, with a focus on computational models of neural circuits
  • Contribution to teaching activities, e.g., in the master program "Computational Neuroscience" and the computer science programs of the department
  • Supervision of undergraduate and graduate students
  • Representation of the research group at conferences and in publications
  • General contributions to the research group
  • Occasional assistance during the preperation of grant proposals

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science, physics or a similarly quantitative field and PhD in Computational Neuroscience
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Excellent programming skills (e.g., Python, C)
  • After completing the university degree, at least three years of academic or professional-practical work in a full-time employment relationship
  • The ability to teach in German and/or English is a prerequisite; willingness to acquire the missing language skills in each case
  • Strong background in Computational Neuroscience

Desirable:

  • Experience in modelling of neural circuits
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit
