Your responsibility
- Collaboration in research and teaching at the Chair of Energy Engineering and
Climate Protection - Supervision of seminars and courses
- Co-supervision of students
- Carrying out own research on the basis of the previous results of the chair
Your profile
- Successfully completed scientific degree (Master, Diploma, or equivalent) in energy engineering, process engineering, power plant engineering or a closely related engineering science with a focus on energy engineering and thermodynamics with very good grades
- Excellent knowledge of thermodynamics and energy-conversion concepts as well as evaluation methods (exergy analysis, economic analysis).
- The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
- Independent and structured way of working, ability to work in a team (desirable)
- Experience with energy system modeling and simulation (desirable)
- Familiarity with smart grids, sector coupling, or renewable energy integration (desirable)
- Good programming skills (Python, Julia, or similar), including handling and analyzing datasets(desirable)
- Basic knowledge of life cycle assessment (LCA), environmental modeling, or sustainability
assessment (desirable) - Experience in scientific writing and preparing grant proposals (desirable)
