Research Assistant
Part-time employment may be possible
Your responsibility
The Collaborative Research Center "MY-CO BUILD: Biomanufacturing, characterisation, and sustainability assessment of fungal-based building materials" is developing a new class of fungal-based materials from renewable raw materials sourced from agriculture and forestry. These materials are biologically produced and biodegradable. The research and development of these materials leverages the potential of fungal biotechnology to establish the scientific foundations for defined production processes and reproducible property profiles of fungalbased materials. This includes the systematic establishment of a process chain that enables targeted material design.
The production of these renewable raw materials begins with their appropriate processing from agriculture and forestry. This primarily involves their comminution. This comminution process will be characterized and optimized both experimentally and numerically, and its connection to the subsequent cultivation of the fungus will be established.
