Research Assistant - 2. Qualification phase (for habilitation)

Your responsibility
- Planning, coordination and organisation of the Energy Seminar course in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of student tutors, including semester planning, course organisation and support for tutors in preparing and implementing their project offerings.
- Independent implementation and didactic supervision of interdisciplinary student groups in weekly seminar sessions, which include both theoretical and practical project work in the fields of energy, environment and society (e.g. planning and construction of energy and environmental technology facilities; analysis of socio-political, ecological and economic aspects of energy supply).
- Supervision of bachelor's and master's theses by arrangement.
- Collaboration with university and non-university institutions and initiatives in the fields of energy, environment and society, including identification of opportunities for cooperation as well as funding and financing opportunities for projects and personnel (job procurement).
- Organisation of teaching: awarding grades and coordinating credit transfers with the relevant examination offices. Maintaining and administering the module page, organising registration and ensuring the accreditation of the module in various faculties of the university.
- Recruitment: coordinating the hiring, induction and training of student employees.
Your profile
- Successfuily completed scientific university degree (Master's, Diploma or equivalent) and doctorate in a relevant social or cultural science discipline (e.g. sustainability studies, international relations, political science, cultural studies) or in an energy-engineering, environmental-engineering, or process-engineering program - ideally with an empirical link between both areas.
- Experience in analysing socio-political, environmental, or energy-technology issues.
- Teaching/didactic experience working with student groups from different disciplines.
- Experience in conducting, supervising, and qualitatively evaluating student projects.
- Experience working with student assistants/tutors in teaching.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team within an interdisciplinary environment with flat hierarchies (is desirable).
- The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
- Ability to teach in German (is desirable).
- Experience with student-organized teaching formats (is desirable).
- Knowledge and experience in project initiation and project management (is desirable).
- Sensitivity to gender issues, anti-racism, and power and hierarchy structures within institutions and organizational culture (is desirable).
