Your responsibility

  • research in a current area of applied Stochastic Analysis
  • Coordination for the International Research Training Group “Stochastic Analysis in Interaction”
  • promotion of academic exchange and cooperation among Research Training Group members in Oxford and Berlin
  • liaison between doctoral candidates and the Research Training Group leadership
  • organization and facilitation of academic seminars, courses, and workshops

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mathematics, specializing in stochastics
  • Comprehensive, in-depth knowledge in the field of stochastic analysis and some of its applications
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and German
  • A particular interest in and ability to interact within a research group, along with a proactive work ethic is desirable
  • Experience with structured doctoral programs and collaborative projects
  • Experience in organizing academic events
  • Experience working with university committees
  • Programming skills in Python and/or "R" and proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
