Research assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • independent work on a research project in the field of precision machining
  • development of a vibration decoupled tool holder module for the reduction of vibration transmission to the machine spindle
  • development of a transmission module for the uninterrupted provision of energy flows to an ultrasonic vibration system
  • development of a sensor and data management module to identify the vibration behaviour and the vibration transmission
  • independent planning, implementation and evaluation of the research activities
  • participation in the chair's research activities
  • presentation of research results to industry representatives and scientists at international conferences and trade fairs

Requirements:

  • successfully completed scientific university studies (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, production technology or related engineering sciences
  • advanced knowledge in the field of micro-production technology and quality management
  • basic experience in the field of design and manufacturing
  • in-depth knowledge in the field of computer-aided engineering
  • knowledge in the field of mechatronic manufacturing systems
  • experience in the use of machine tools
  • knowledge in the planning and execution of experiments
  • intention to obtain a doctorate and to work scientifically in a multidisciplinary team
  • independent, systematic and structured working method
  • willingness to work in laboratories and to carry out business trips - also to non-European countries
  • very good skills in written and spoken English, German at least level C1
