Within the EU project Bioindustry 4.0 innovative approaches for accessing, mobilizing, and integrating microbial data will be developed and established. BacDive, Mycobank and MIRRI-IS are the largest microbiological databases world-wide and join forces to create a new document-based database for assembling data in a new common format. The major aim is to provide access to information required for improving biotechnological processes and thereby to create novel opportunities for bioeconomy.
