Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

Working field:

  • Active participation in research and teaching activities in technical mechanics with an emphasis on continuum mechanics and constitutive theory
  • research: Theoretical mechanics and continuum physics with a focus on electromechanical constitutive theories
  • teaching: Lectures on basic mechanics (in German), hands-on project to finite element analysis (in English), principles of continuum theory I/II (in German)

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in engineering science, mechanical engineering or related degree
  • very good knowledge of theoretical mechanics and in the field of continuum physics and especially (Can) electromechanical constitutive theory and generalized media
  • sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
