Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

Working field:

Teaching and research at the FG Robotic Manufacturing of the Built Environment, in particular:
  • independent processing of basic and application-related research projects in the field of additive manufacturing.
  • independent planning and supervision of test campaigns and setups with a focus on additive manufacturing with mineral building materials (concrete 3D printing)
  • support and supervision of courses as well as research-related student work

Requirements:

  • successfully completed scientific university degree (master, diplom or equivalent) civil engineering, civil systems engineering, materials science, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, mineralogy or equivalent
  • knowledge and initial practical experience in laboratory testing (building materials testing), measurement technology (sensor technology, force and strain measurement) and image processing are helpful
  • very good German and good English skills written and spoken; die Fähigkeit zum Unterrichten, sowohl in deutscher als auch in englischer Sprache wird vorausgesetzt
  • a confident handling of IT (e.g. CAD, programming, word processing)
  • ability to work in a team
  • a lot of initiative, flexibility, creativity as well as a responsible way of working
