Research Associate (Postdoc) - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Part-time is may be possible

Working field:

  • Electro(photo)catalytic reduction of challenging element-organic substrates containing stable E=O/E O (E = Si, P, S, B)
  • Design, synthesis, and characterization of heterogeneous catalysts as electrode materials
  • Process optimization and insights into the activity, selectivity, and stability of the system
  • Experimental and theoretical investigation of the reaction mechanisms
  • The work is part of the research within the cluster of excellence “UniSysCat”

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) and a doctorate in chemistry, with the focus on organometallic and materials chemistry
  • Profound knowledge and experience in the field of experimental molecular chemistry and materials chemistry including experience in synthesis and characterization and reactivity
  • A strong interest in pursuing research in electro(photo)chemistry especially in nonaqueous systems
  • Good German and English language skills
