Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:
part-time employment may be possible
Work in research and teaching at the Institute of Mathematics (Stochastic Analysis), including supervision of seminars and lectures, teaching of exercise classes (4 SWS for a full-time position), co-supervision of Bachelor and Master students/theses.
The research comprises several fields, including conservative stochastic PDEs, singular SPDEs, mathematics of machine learning, interacting particle systems, nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, stochastic fluid dynamics.
We aim to investigate questions of well-posedness, regularity, qualitative behavior, equilibrium and nonequilibrium large deviations and their numerical simulation. In the mathematics of machine learning we focus on universal limits, stochastic learning dynamics, and generalization errors.
More information can be obtained from Prof. Dr. Benjamin Gess (benjamin.gess@gmail.com).
