Tasks

Within a third-party funded research project the TU Berlin will develop a high temperature Strain Gage pressure sensor.

The tasks of the TU Berlin focus in particular on technology development for the production of a novel miniaturized thinned high-temperature pressure sensor chip with SOI technology and high-temperature metallization system, optimization of the pressure sensor housing by means of FEM simulations, design and construction of a high-temperature measuring station and analysis of sensor reliability with regard to temperature cycles and service life.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in electrical engineering / chemistry / physics
  • Knowledge and experience with
    a) Assembly and connection technology of microelectronics
    b) Solid state physics of solid surfaces
    c) Analysis methods (e.g. XPS, IR, FIB/REM)
    d) HAST tests
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of microsensor technology
  • Structured and independent way of working
  • Willingness to take responsibility for subtasks
  • Ability to work in a team, willingness to document
