Engineer (f/m/d) Drone pilot - conception and assembly of drones

At the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF), innovative technologies for the circular economy are developed to provide and use mineral and metal-bearing raw materials more efficiently and to recycle them in an environmentally friendly way.
The Department of Exploration is looking for an Engineer (f/m/d) Drone pilot - conception and assembly of drones.
Tasks
- Design, manufacture parts and assemble drones
 - Coordinate activities in the drone lab
 - Support actively the activities of the group of engineers
 - Teach and support trainees and students
 
Requirements
- Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of Aeronautics, Mechatronics, Electronics or related field
 - Relevant professional experience in the specified area, expertise in drone development and piloting
 - Strong background in Electronics, Programming and Engineering
 - Master the software and hardware that are used to create and operate drones, such as CAD, MATLAB, Python, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi
 - Experience with CNC and 3D printing, as well as in one or more programming language
 - Willingness to perform fieldworks
 - Proficiency in English
