16 PhD Candidates (f/m/d) for Challenges in Infection Research

An exceptional opportunity for curious, young scientists to work in a stimulating environment

Tasks

We invite applicants to undertake their PhD project at one of the six locations of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). HZI is Germany’s largest academic institution dedicated to infection research and a member of the Helmholtz Association. It has been at the forefront of the fight against infectious diseases for many years. We welcome a broad spectrum of disciplines, believing in thinking outside the box, to address the most pressing challenges in infection research. By encouraging interdisciplinary approaches, we drive innovative solutions through diverse perspectives.

Scientific curiosity ignites groundbreaking discoveries and transforms global health challenges into opportunities for innovation. Our "CURIOSITY IS INFECTIOUS" initiative celebrates this spirit of inquiry, showcasing how curiosity spreads through collaboration, creating a ripple effect of positive change. The program seeks to nurture a new generation of researchers who will use curiosity to combat infectious diseases and improve lives worldwide.
