Tasks

Teaching (4 hours per week) and research in Theoretical Physics in the field of Quantum Non­
Equilibrium Dynamics at our institute. Participation in the third-party funded projects of the work group Eckardt. Assisting the group leader in supervising final theses (Bachelor, Master, PhD).

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, diplom or equivalent) and successfully
    completed PhD in physics or a related field
  • Very good knowledge in theoretical physics
  • Very good knowledge in Quantum Non-Equilibrium Dynamics, in particular in the field of open quantum systems
  • Experience in the numerical simulation of open quantum systems and in the development of efficient numerical methods
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Desirable:

  • High level of commitment and ability to work independently,
  • Good didactical skills are advantageous.
