Your responsibility
Conducting research and teaching at the Chair of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering
Particular tasks are:
- Development of scientific methods in the field of circular processes in geotechnical engineering
- Development, implementation and application of reliability-based calculations for existing foundation bodies
- Project communication and preparation of project reports
- Documentation of the research, preparation of project reports, presentation and publication of the research results in
scientific journals and conference proceedings - Indepentend planning, preparation and conduction of courses and examinations in the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Civil Engineering, language of instruction german
- Supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses
Your profile
- Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in civil engineering
- In-depth knowledge of geotechnical engineering, circular economy and probabilistic methods. The willingness to acquire missing knowledge is a prerequisite.
- Comprehensive IT skills in MS Office and profound knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Matlab are required.
- The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.
- Experience in research (preparation of research proposals, project coordination and realization) and teaching as well as very good presentation skills are desirable.
- Capacity for teamwork and high level of commitment are desirable.
