Research Associate - permanent position acc to MAVO

Your responsibility
The successful applicants conducts independent research in hardware security, focusing on side-channel analysis, fault injection, and countermeasures. He/she holds permanent responsibility for the laboratory infrastructure, including the photon emission microscope (Phemos) and the Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) laboratory. Additional tasks include coordinating research projects, publishing results, supervising students, and contributing to teaching.
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom, or equivalent) and PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
- At least three years of scientific or technical-practical work experience in a full-time position after completing university studies
- Proven expertise in hardware security
- Experience with hardware and measurement technology (FPGA, optical/electron beam processes)
- Publication and project experience
- The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
- Teamwork and communication skills desirable
- Experience with QKD systems or photonic measurement methods desirable
- Supervisory experience and knowledge of project management desirable
