Your responsibility
Within a third-party funded research project the TU Berlin will novel lasers and glass encapsulations for laser modules. Efficient assemblies are developed and glass for the packages is laser-structured and laser-welded.
The work at TU Berlin focusses in particular on efficient assembly. In addition, glass for the packages is laser-structured and laser-welded.
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in physics, photonics, or a comparable field
- Knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Laser optics
- Assembly and interconnection technology based on glass
- Micro-assembly of optical components
- Good German and/or English skills required; willingness to acquire any missing language skills
- Experience working in a laboratory environment o Statistical design of experiments (DoE) desirable
- Structured and independent working style desirable
- Willingness to take responsibility for assigned sub-tasks desirable
- Team player with a willingness to document work desirable
