Your responsibility

The duties include participation in research and teaching, in particular in the beginner's course in Computer-Oriented Mathematics and in the specialisation in Algorithmic Discrete Mathematics in the bachelor's and master's programmes, as well as independent research in the field of discrete optimisation or closely related areas.

Your profile

  • successfully completed academic university degree (Master's, Diploma or equivalent) and doctorate in mathematics, computer science or a closely related subject
  • in-depth knowledge of algorithmic discrete mathematics
  • in-depth knowledge of combinatorial optimization and discrete algorithms and related fields; knowledge demonstrated by initial publications in peer-reviewed journals or proceedings
  • the ability to teach in German and English is required; willingness to acquire any missing language skills
  • above-average grades are desirable
  • good communicative skills are are desirable
