Your responsibility

Proteomics, Structural Biology, and Systems Biology, with a focus on translational protein complexes, protein interaction networks, and mass spectrometry–based analysis. This includes the design and implementation of proteomics sample preparation workflows, integrating mass spectrometry acquisition strategies and data processing pipelines, optimized for high-throughput, low-input applications, with particular emphasis on translational complexes within the framework of an ERC Synergy Grant.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated track record in proteomics research, with strong practical expertise, ideally including work with low-abundance or low-input samples.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in the development, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mass spectrometry (MS) instrumentation.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement robust sample preparation workflows and data processing pipelines for high-throughput, low-input proteomics applications.
  • Experience in protein studies, including multi-omics approaches (e.g., integration with metallomics or related modalities).
  • Sufficient knowledge of English required to communicate science in spoken and written form.
  • 5+ years of experience working in international research environments, with demonstrated success in securing external funding (e.g., grants and fellowships) is an advantageous.
  • Organizational skills Laboratory experience, particularly with infrastructure required for LC-MS proteomics is an advantageous.
