Your responsibility

Research in the field of quantum cryptography:

  • Security proofs of quantum communication protocols
  • Simulation of communication protocols
  • Research into hardware-related error models and security analysis of hardware-specific vulnerabilities
  • Close collaboration with experimental partners
  • Organisation of outreach activities such as workshops and public events
  • Contribution to research and teaching

Your profile

  • Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in physics, mathematics or computer science
  • Ability to teach in German and/or English is required, as is a willingness to acquire any missing language skills
  • Basic knowledge of quantum information theory
  • Experience in the Python programming language
  • Knowledge of LaTeX
  • Knowledge of quantum communication protocols with respect to security proofs and
    adaptations to experimental imperfections
  • Knowledge of hardware platforms, especially photonics
  • Experience with the simulation of quantum communication protocols is desirable
